You players did an outstanding job. This is the highest scoring game of the eleven so far. I look forward to seeing many of you in Game 12 in November. Thanks to all of you for playing!!!

Net Bullseye Game 11 Playoff Round

Tom Hornikel: Welcome to our PLAYOFF ROUND for Game Eleven. This is our second game with the new rules for this round. It proved fun in Game 10. Lets keep the fun rolling, as Jay introduces our playoff contenders...

<ghost of Jay Stewart> Tom, here is the world's greatest Penny Hardaway fan, who has won $4900 so far. Meet Bo Bielefeldt!

Bo's challenger is attending Penn State, and has accumulated $4150 in this game. He is Bill Hughes! <ghost of Jay Stewart>

Tom: Gentlemen, welcome to the PLAYOFF ROUND. Instead of the individually played game that we play in rounds one and two, the Playoff Round will be much closer to the original Bullseye series.

We will start with the player with the higher score after the first two elimination rounds. That will be you, Bo. That player will have "control" of the first spin. That player must contract for the spin. Once the contract is in play, it must be completed. If a player misses a question, control goes to his or her opponent, who must try to answer the missed question correctly in order to steal control. At the completion of each contract, the player who earned the contract is entitled to bank the winnings accumulated in the contract, or risk it. If the money is banked, control goes to the opponent. If it is not banked, the jackpot will grow, until the completion of the next contract.

The first player to bank $2000 wins the game, and may go on to play the BONUS ISLAND bonus game.

Good luck to both Bo and Bill. The windows are spinning the information, Bo. Here is your first spin....

(Bvvvvvoo--shshshshunk!)

(*( A GAME OF DEFINITIONS for $300 )*)

(shshshshunk!)

(*( "MYTH" INFORMATION for $300 )*)

and your contract is for ...

(shshshshunk!)

(*(*( 2 QUESTIONS )*)*)

What's your choice, Bo?

Bo Bielefeldt: Well, it looks like I have to play the game of definitions again. I'm no Eddie Timanus when it comes to mythology.

Tom: Yes, but he has two Camaros. Do you? :^) Remember, the first player to reach $2000, wins the game, and goes to the BONUS ISLAND. Good luck with your first definition....

(*( Green, Red, Brown, Orange, Blue, Yellow )*)

Bo: ( They sound like the six colors of categories in Trivial Pursuit (although the A&E category is more of a pink).

Tom: Close, but no Pie! Sorry, Bo. Bill, you now have control of the question.

Bill Hughes: well, I was hanging out at my place of employment tonight, and after they let 2nd shift out, I was talking to one of my 'bosses' (she's a customer service manager .. I'm a back-up customer service manager meaning I do everything they do without the full title) .. anyway we were talking about something totally different when suddenly I thought about this, and the answer popped right into my head .....

they are all colors of M & M's (the official candy of the millennium)

Tom: If we were on the air, time would have expired a long time ago. However, this is not tv. This is internet. And you are virtually correct. One down, and one to go to complete your contract. Next definiton....

(*( Incisors, Cuspids, Grinders )*)

Bill: they're all teeth

Tom: Just like the Osmonds. You are correct. That puts $600 into the jackpot. Bill, you can bank that $600, or risk it by continuing. What would you like to do?

Bill: I'll continue on

Tom: Bill, you risk $600 on this spin. Good luck.....

(Bvvvvvoo--shshshshunk!)

(*( ROCKET SCIENCE for $150)*)

(shshshshunk!)

(*( "MYTH" INFORMATION for $200 )*)

and your contract is for ...

(shshshshunk!)

(*(*( 4 QUESTIONS )*)*)

What is your choice?

Bill: "MYTH" INFORMATION for $200

Tom: Here is the first of four questions in this contract.....

(*( This winged messenger was the Greek male who served all gods. Name him. )*)

Bill: It's Hermes

Tom: It's correct. One down, three to go ....

(*( Which hero killed the wild haired Gorgon, Medusa? )*)

Bill: Perseus

Tom: Right again! You are halfway through this contract. Good luck with your third question...

(*( Which of our planets is named for the goddess of love? )*)

Bill: Venus

Tom: Once again, you are right Bill! Vanna White a.k.a. Venus is the answer. That is three down. One more and your contract is complete....

(*( Name the goddess wife of the Egyptian Orisis. )*)

Bill: guessing that's supposed to be Osiris, who married his own sister Isis (boy, the gods had some interesting relationships !)

Tom: Orightis! Isis is correct, and you have completed the contract, Bill! The bank now stands at $1400. Do you wish to bank it, or keep control, risk the $1400 and spin again?

Bill: I'd like to spin again .... c'mon lucky wheels !

Tom: Bill risks his $1400 for another chance at the windows. Those are scrambling the information. Let's see what happens.....

Bvvvvvoo--shshshshunk!)

(*( COLLEGE FOOTBALL for $300)*)

(shshshshunk!)

(*( COMIC PAGE for $200 )*)

and your contract is for ...

(shshshshunk!)

(*(*( BULLSEYE! )*)*)

Once again, Bill, the choice is yours.

Bill: COMIC PAGE for $200

Tom: Comic Page it is. You have a Bullseye, Bill, so remember that you can win the game with three correct answers. Remember, however, you risk losing control to Bo with each answer. So you do have the option to quit after you answer each question, so please include that decision with your answer.

Good luck with your first question...

(*( Jeff Millar and Bill Hinds create this comic about a A former professional football player who's now a TV sportscaster. Name this comic strip. )*)

Bill: Tank McNamara >>

Your answer is correct. Do you wish to continue?

Bill: yep

Tom: (*(Ralph, Oliver and Nipper are characters created by Morrie Turner in this strip that was once an ABC Saturday morning cartoon series called "Rainbow Power". Name that comic strip.)*)

Bill: That would be 'Wee Pals' .. and I will go on for one more question to take me to $2000

Tom: You are correct, Bill, and one more question IS all it will take for you to have enough cybercash to win the game. Good luck with this question...

(*( For over a half century, Bob Montana has been penning a comic about characters like Veronica, Reggie and Jughead. Name the star of this comic, and you will name the strip. )*)

Bill: we sell them right next to the TV Guide's .... it's Archie >>

Archie?

Are you sure?

Final answer?

For $6150, you are right! >>>>>>>>>>>>><DING>(*($6150)*). Bill, you grabbed control of this game, and did not let go. Congratulations on an incredible game.

Bo Bielefeldt...one wrong answer that you acknowledged to me as wrong immediately after sending it stood between you and this game. You played very well, and I am sure we will see you on the Bonus Island very soon.

Thank you for playing.

Bill, next comes the bonus round!

Here's hoping everything you do hits the
